Young Research League Around AI
Empowering young people to explore artificial intelligence through hands-on experimentation, critical thinking, and a scientific approach to understanding generative AI systems
Coming soon ...
Demystifying AI for the Next Generation
Youth AI Lab brings together youth organizations from across Europe to build a network of local laboratories. Each lab offers a unique journey through the world of artificial intelligence, from understanding basic concepts to creating small language models (SLMs) and applying them in real-world scenarios including robotics.

10
workshops for youth aged 12 to 18 in each project country

12
young mentors aged 18 to 25 engaged across Europe

18
ready-to-use activities for educators to explore generative AI

5
documented success stories with testimonials and videos

objective 1
Empower youth as creators, not just consumers

objective 2
Develop critical thinking and literacy about technology

objective 3
Build transferable resources for youth educators
laboratory steps
Observation and
Hypothesis
steps 1 and 2
Construct a definition of generative AI and Build hypothesis on how algorithms work
Experimentation and
Validation
steps 3 and 4
Create an SDG-oriented language model and Use the model for a purpose including robotics
Reflection and
Communication
steps 5 and 6
Debate on the learnings and usages and Share discoveries through publications and dissemination
